Our mission is to offer individuals hope that their lives can get better.
First Day is a psychiatric recovery program for adults ages eighteen and older. The
program’s focus is to give participants the tools they need to obtain, improve upon or
regain community roles such as an employee,volunteer, parent, everyday citizen.
The Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and Illness, Management and
Recovery (IMR) resource kit are two of the tools utilized in program.
These tools encourage self advocacy and personal responsibility in the recovery
process.
Our toolkit encourages hope in the journey of recovery. It includes groups such as Sharing
the Recovery Journey, Life Beyond Partial Care, Work Readiness, and Wellness and Work.
Medical, psycho-social, and harm reduction models are utilized in providing psychiatric
medication management and treatment of substance abuse disorders
The First Day Program is located at 312 E. White Horse Pike, Absecon, NJ. Transportation is provided to and from program.
